The Centre for a Compassionate Society (Inc.) organises and supports activities that lead to a more compassionate way of being with ourselves, with one another and with our planet.
Understanding compassion to be a universal human value that connects us with our deepest selves, the Centre promotes genuinely inclusive spiritual exploration and dialogue. The Centre’s activities towards social justice and inclusion flow from that exploration.
Our activities include:
- Compassion Cultivation Training – an 8 week small-group learning experience
- Meditation – Meditation that builds compassion, on Zoom and face-to-face
- Activism – Refugees and Asylum Seeker advocacy (incl. Weekly Refugee Letter)
- Events and discussion groups
