The Centre for a Compassionate Society organises and supports activities that lead to a more compassionate way of being with ourselves, with one another and with our planet.

Understanding compassion to be a universal human value that connects us with our deepest selves, the Centre promotes genuinely inclusive spiritual exploration and dialogue. The Centre’s activities towards social justice and inclusion flow from that exploration.

The Centre was founded by the Community Church of St Mark (Clifton Hill Baptist) in 2019. The Centre also aims to create a safe space and is governed by the same policies of zero tolerance of abuse as the church – see this information page for further detail.
